Every wedding is different, just as every person is different. This is why I meet personally with every bride and groom, whether at a coffee shop or a web meeting, to see if my style will mesh well with theirs.
I prefer to shoot ceremonies in a more artistically documentary fashion, focusing on the emotion rather than on the traditional posing, and lending a dreamlike feel to the photographs, so that they match the experience.
Sessions can also be arranged with an independent shoot with just the bride and groom or bridal party for a location shoot to create artistic portraits. I've found that these sessions can dramatically ease the stress level of the actual wedding day, and make for some wonderfully relaxed portraits without the time crunch!
